About 4 years ago I had my first episode of headaches. Not nearly as intense or frequent as this episode which started about 2 months ago. I am currently getting 3 to 4 per day anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours long. The doctor gave me Maxalt-MLT to try and as long as you take it at the very first sign of a headache I would say it does a fair job of dulling the headaches effects or ina few cases knocks it out earlier then normal. This stuff will sort of numb the top of your head like novacane.the thing is you can only take 2 ina 24 hour period but its the only thing Ive found which has any effect at all on these headaches.it at least can make them bearable. Also I think it hhelps with the after effects of the headache . While normally I feel like someone hit me with a ball bat in the side of the face< it helps with that.
