I too was considering another child, while continuing to suffer from chronic CH. Therefore, I always have some drugs in my system. I was told earlier this year that it could be doable, with some strict attention paid to the types and amount of drugs taken, for me of course I would have to continue to take meds throughout the pregnancy. For me this is currently a moot point, as my husband of 13 years walked out on me this summer. You need a good OB, probably someone younger, who can best advise you on the RX mix that would be best for your child. You should also give strong thought to your current health state, and whether you would be equipped to care for an infantif the CH should return quickly. I'm not trying to discourage you, I know how important this decision is. I am a little bitter at the way things happened for me, as the likelihood of more children for me seems remote at best. My husband had not wanted any more, and since he had been planning to leave for some time, I know why. There is really no reason, assuming you are otherwise healthy, and have the temperment to be able to do without drugs as much as possible while pregnant, and/or breastfeeding. Again, check with your OB before you get pregnant. If he or she will not entertain the subject with you, keep looking for a new Dr.
