not for my CH I've had the seizures for forty years and I'm now at the best seizure control in my adult life. CH began in 1969 while I was taking Dilantin (1,000) Phenobarbitol (1-1/2 grains) and then in about 1970, Mysoline (250s) five times per day. Not good seizure control but did the many adjustments lead to my remission beginning in 1991? My drugs have been adjusted coutless times and now I take only Depakote and Mysoline.

I tried Topamax last year (terrific for seizures) but it caused some depressive behavior on my part as well as a ringing in my ears so I went to Depakote (2,000). Good control, but the timing is wrong for Depakote to have been a factor in CH. I've lowered my Mysoline to 750 and I suspect that the Dr. is looking to eliminate it.

I just tossed out the Mysoline as the one drug I take that no one has mentioned here. It certainly wasn't a miracle drug but my experience with these things is; just minor adjustments can produce good results. I hope this answers your question. email me or post again if you need more.

Whew!

Stay well.- - -Charlie S
