last wednesday i had what i called an occipital nerve block
shot in the back of my head.... near the lower ear and neck... opening
by skull. The neuro explained that the occical (spelling) nerves are the
ones that are usually feeling the worse pain. He said the results can last up
to two weeks. For me, i got a certain relief for one week...last night it broke
thru....and i got relief finally from Maxalt and Oxygen after 20 minutes.
So... the nerve block did a one week job for me. I think they may repeat it in
one week...to give me yet one more week. I will take what i can get at this time.
I am also NOW on verapamil 3 times daily. Is it normal to feel this tired... lathargic?
Two things i find, ice skating at the rink seems to be okay as long as i take two shots
of espresso before... my head feels good with the cool air on it. And walks in the cool
air help. Other than that, i am in a second series.... hating every night.
