It's more theorizing on my part, but the last few months I have been doing some (light) research into the vagus nerve... I've found myself questioning if incidents or events that [possibly] 'hit' this nerve may henceforth predispose someone to a variety of conditions [a myriad of chronic pain conditions and cyclic conditions of pain] ... it's all supposition on my part right now though but my 'gut' says the theory isn't completely off-base.
I was in an auto accident when I was 15/16.. started having odd headaches and black outs... x-rays indicated two discs slightly out of whack-- doctor supposed it was affecting a nerve or something... eventually they passed. Wonder now in retrospect if it may have been the beginning.. or maybe just another brick in the wall of predisposition because it wasn't six months later that my first bad headaches began.
Dunno.. can't think straight right now.
