Your attitude about the camera is good too. You don't want to become the issue, clusters are. If people think it's about you, they will believe the story less. (15 minutes, etc.)
Let us know if you find a link to the story. Too bad its NBC not CBS. If it's a good story, maybe the local CBS affiliate will pick it up - but don't suggest it, too self-serving.
I don't want to sound negative, but I've been in front of the camera a few times and it is not fun or even pleasant. Let me know if I can help.
