I used to use small ones that I went through like crazy. Now I have two monsters in my bedroom -- the largest available -- that have long tubing to allow me to move about. I have found that this is helpful if I have to use the bathroom or thrash about. I can get to the O2 faster with the long tubing. I have quite a bit, since I live in a mountainous area, just in case winter conditions interfere with delivery. Make sure your partner has a mask instead of nasal cannula and order big tanks with long tubing. It will make him more comfortable and provide some sense of freedom; even if it's just to walk a bit or thrash around! I also have a portable small tank to take with me (just in case). My supplier thought of all of this! He even calculated my usage and figured how long it would last. I have a pamphlet that talks about how to do that. Let me know if you want the info. Good luck!
