A warm welcome to all the new-comers who've joined us at ch.com recently, and a suggestion that you visit the OUCH site to have a look at details of the Organisation for Understanding Cluster Headaches.
For those old-timers who have their views either pro- or con- the organisation, can I please recommend that you visit the board set up by Elaine and Todd for dicsussion of OUCH issues.
The current threads there are dealing with what you - the cluster headache sufferer or supporter - feel that OUCH should be doing for you and yours.
We are very keen that everyone should have their input. All too often people say they are not going to join OUCH but give no valid reason. If there is something you wish to say, please say it there where we are listening.
Elaine has suggested that if people post under the name "opinion" they can do so with the cover of a certain amount of anonymity should they wish. I trust that that will enable people to be honest, but also to avoid some of the personal vitriol that is sadly all too common here.
(On that last point - a personal view - even some of us "old-timers" are puzzled by some of the crap that floats around here -what a newcomer must think is beyond my imagination. With respect a post following a thread of invective I can understand, whether or not I like it, but one beginning in that vein leaves me mystified and saddened.)
