I am currently taking 150 mg. and am still having having 6-8 headaches everyday. By the way I am chronic and have been for 3 years. I am hopefull tho that the topamax will help. The max dose for epilepsy patients is 200mg in am and 200 mg in pm so I know my dose is low yet and can go higher. I was on Vepramil for close to a year with it but the side effects of it were to great for me to contine to stay on it and my dr. took me off of it. I see my nuero on Tues. I think he will probably up the topamax and put me on lithium. Who knows? There are others here on the board who have taken topamax and it has done wonders for them.
