That Prednisone is almost as bad as the headaches. I too am desperate to get my chronic headaches back down to a manageable 5 or 6 per day and was thinking of asking my Dr. to give me Prednisone. A friend e-mailed me and said, " Oh Linda Don't!!!!!" This girl then went on to tell me of all the side effects. Ulcers, cysts, etc. and even though it helped for about 10 days, when they came back, they came back with a vengeance.
I don't want to get on my soap box here about Vicodan, but I've said this many times. Any controlled substance pain killers such as Vicodan, Lorcet, Codeine, Percogesic, etc. will, I repeat, will give you rebound headaches. I learned the hard way being just like everyone else and willing to try anything to get rid of this pain. Not worth it Sir. Just isn't.
Now that we've completely bummed you out here, have you tried Lithium, Verapamil, Imitrex, Amerge, and my very favorite OXYGEN????
