There are some diseases that you can try to hide, like hemorrhoids and halitosis but thereís no reason to hide your cluster headache disease from your daughter or grandson. If you had cancer you wouldnít try to hide it.
Bring your daughter to this site and let her read the information, the guest book and the message board.
Explain to your grandson (in words a 5 year old can understand) what you suffer from. Little kids have a tendency to take on blame for otherís suffering so be sure he knows he is not at fault. He will understand, kids are a whole lot smarter than most adults give them credit for.
Last April I introduced this board to my little supporter. My (then) 15 month old grandson held my hand during an attack. He didnít understand what was happening to his grandpa but he was there helping.
One more thing, next week $25 will be sent for my now 20 month old grandson to become a member of OUCH.
Good luck on your surgery. Let us know if it helps with the clusters.
