I had sinus surgery with no improvement. Years later I was correctly diagnosed with cluster headaches and was started on verapamil. It helped but even on 300mg twice a day I suffered. Lithium 300mg three times a day was then added.I am now on lithium and verapamil 240mg twice a day with very good results. Consider trying verapamil plus lithium before surgery!
