AOL members, beware. There is a very clever and dangerous scam being targetted at AOL members. Here's a copy of the email you may receive.Dear Aol Member,

"Hello, this is Steve Case, America Online CEO, and the Billing Department has discovered that your credit card information is invalid. We also have the
suspicion that your account was setup illegally. If you believe that are computer systems are wrong then it is very important that you
click here immediately to avoid permanent account termination. Thank you!

Steve Case
America Online CEO"

THIS IS A SCAM!!!
1. Steve Case would never sign this kind of email.
2. Clicking the link takes you to a site where they ask for your credit card info, name, address, phone number, etc. AOL NEVER asks for that kind of info via email.
3. "If you believe that are computer systems are wrong..." AOL won't be sending out emails from their CEO with grammatical errors.
4. The link takes you to http://fly.to/helpaol. This is a European re-direction site - a common tool for scam artists and not something the largest ISP in the world would use. (They have their own sites :-)

If you get this, forward it to AOL's Member Services abuse dept. Sorry, I'm not an AOL'r so I don't know the address. Maybe one of you could post it below?

KTSSU,
T
