At my last visit to my neurologist, he presented me with an Oxford University study (Brain, 1997;120, 193-209). To read it, you need a good dictionary handy, but it classifies certain similar headaches by symptoms. Indomethacin (Indocin) is effective in Chronic paroxysmal hemicrania, Episodic paroxysmal hemicrania, Idiopathic stabbing headache and Hemicrania continua and in SOME cases, Cluster headache.
I personally am having good luck with it. It took a couple of days for my stomach to adjust but I have had fewer HA symptoms the longer I have used it. I do have to take it religiously three times a day though, or the symptoms return. I have also found good information on this site and at www.hscsyr.edu/~haasd.
