Hi Nancy,
I would post that question to "Ask Doc Greg" on the left side bar. He's a fellow clusterhead and has always responded to my questions. Verap is also used to control high blood pressure which I also have and I've been on it since last May with no side effects. The sides that can occurr include extremity swelling, very low or high heart rate and, of course allergic reactions. My main concern is that staying on it forever will reduce the effectiveness for CH. It's doing a great job on the high blood pressure. Best of luck and PF holidays.
