Merry Christmas all!

I have been a cluster head for 12 years, having been in remission for almost 2. I also suffer from migraines, but have not had one of those for 6 months. Recently (about two weeks ago), I started waking up every morning around 4 or 5 with a new type of headache I have never experienced. It is extremely intense, about 3/4 what I experience with a cluster. It is located behind both eyes, and it feels like my eyes will explode. Excedrin for migraines works after 45 minutes or so - at least lessens the pain to a tolerable amount. This has happened most mornings lately. I am 29, and do wear a weak prescript of glasses - near sighted. Not sure if this comes to play or not. I would assume given the nature of the headache, that it starts sometime during REM and builds to the intensity that wakes me up. It does not appear to be sudden onset like C.H.

Given that the demon is always a 9 or 10 on the pain scale, 3/4 of that pain is still really intense. I would like to find out what these things are so that I can get rid of them. My totally uneducated guess is that I know blood pressure rises in the morning, so maybe that has to do with it - totally in the dark on this one. Any thoughts? Doc Greg, maybe you have heard of this.

Thanks a million, and again, God bless you this Christmas.
