Seems like I'm asking about a new drug each time I post...thanks for letting me continue to ask for your feedback. I really appreciate those of you who share your experiences. Lee saw a neurologist yesterday who is going to increase his verapamil dosage (gradually to 500 mg. or so, and also prescribed imitrex to help with the headaches. He hadn't had a severe one in 3 days, but had 3 in the past 14 or so hours. The imitrex is working really well, though. The headaches virtually disappear within a few minutes. Of course, now we're worried that the effectiveness will wear off in time. Plus, he's only supposed to take a max of 200 mg in 24 hours. That's 4 headache's worth..what then? Also, Lee had been using the "nasal prong" method for O2 and only at 4L. The Neurologist prescribed a mask and told him to up the O2 to 8L. Has anyone been on imitrex long-term and still feels it's effective. Thanks...so glad I found this board!
