Apart from coffee (or icy coke) people have tried hot air blasts on the afflicted side, sticking your head in the freezer compartment, rubbing cram containing cayenne pepper on the side of their noses - and even in their noses, and taking some drops of very hot sauce under the tongue.

If you are scared to fall asleep, there is a motion sickness otc medication that makes you drowsy but does not put you in REM sleep - which seems to be the usual trigger. I can't remember the name but maybe the pharmacist can help you.

But what you really need is a doctor's visit.
Do check out and print out all the medical info under the buttons top left of the board and take it with you to your doc.

Try and get him to prescribe oxygen, it has been a great help for many of us in aborting attacks, even at night.

Hang in there!

Walk in beauty, annemarie
