I'd like to address your comment,

"...should we get into the "LSD OR SHROOMS" etc. Sorry I won't go their..No I don't do illegal drugs and don't support it but I do keep my mouth shut about it because it isn't any of my business what you take."

FACT: possession of psilocybin mushrooms is NOT illegal in the vast majority of the countries of the world. This was an international site last time I checked.

FACT: possession of narcotic drugs IS illegal in the vast majority of the countries of the world. Death penalties are invoked on a regular basis in some of the less enlightened countries.

FACT: every episodic clusterhead who has tried psilocybin mushrooms and taken the time to inform us of the results on this board has had spectacular results. Success rate 100%.

FACT: very few clusterheads get ANY relief from narcotics. A miniscule percentage do get some impressive results (Mike L, for one, actually gets fewer attacks when he uses the proper combination of narcotics), and a somewhat larger percentage (myself included) find that at certain points in a cluster cycle some narcotics will sometimes mask the pain to a significant degree. Success rate less than 5%. (and I am probably being generous with that figure).

FACT: psilocybin mushrooms will stop a cycle with a single small dose. They will even stop a cycle from ever developing in the first place. In other words, they treat the cause. Successfully.

FACT: narcotics do nothing to shorten a cycle, or prevent it from developing in the first place. In other words, they attempt to treat the symptoms, not the cause, and with much more limited success than the various triptans, or even, for that matter, oxygen.

For what it's worth, I have nothing whatsoever against those who choose to treat their pain with narcotics. I would NEVER categorize them as junkies. Hell, I would literally eat a pound of my own feces if it worked. Think I'm exaggerating? I'm not!

As for your other comment, "NOT SO YOU ARE HOLDING BACK VALUEABLE INFORMATION ON ISSUES THAT MOST OF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BUT ARE REALLY QUICK TO JUDGE!!!!"

Well... it seems you have already made a judgement about the value of the information I and others have provided re psilocybin. You admit to having no personal experience with this treatment. It seems your objection to it is that it is currently illegal in the United States of America.

Did you know that the legal definition in America of a "controlled substance" (which psilocybin is currently classified as, by the way) is "a substance for which there is no CURRENTLY ACCEPTED medical use" ?

Psilocybin has prevented at least one poster to this board from committing suicide. It has saved at least a dozen others countless hours, days, weeks, months, and eventually years of the worst agony known to medical science.

If you choose not to try it for yourself until you either visit a country where it is legal or until the USA changes its legislation... well... so be it.

A final quote: "As I have said before I thought that this is suppose to be a community of support, friendship, advice, learning etc."

If you are interested in learning, check out the link below. I believe there may be some items of relevance re: drugs and the law.
