In some cases clusters are hereditary. My mothers father had them. Back then no one knew what they were but we're sure it was clusters.

I have had clusters for 17 years and my younger brother started having them when he was 30. My grandfather didn't have any sons by the way.

As to the 48 Hours program. The 14 year old boy they showed has cluster headaches, not migrain. They didn't do a very good job. Also the doctor was full of bull.

The doctor indicated that exercise was a particial cure. If that was the case my younger brother would never have an attack. He is a logger and gets more exercise in one day than most people get in a month. Ofcourse he doesn't wear fancy clothes or go to a spa. Maybe that's the secret.

I've long since grown tired of doctors that don't bother to read the latest information. Either that doctor or the producers of 48 hours didn't take the time to determine the difference between cluster headaches and migraine.

After 17 years and several good doctors, my patience runs low. By the way thanks for this web site. Maybe we can get a few doctors to look at it.
