The figures of six months to a year seem to be true so far for EPISODICS.

It is still unclear how long it will be before you, as a CHRONIC, will need to re-dose. You are only our fourth chronic to report success with this (Stavi, Graham, Q, and Pixie)... and only our third LONG-TERM chronic (Graham, Q and Pixie).

I certainly hope that it will last a full year, or even six months, but it is possible, even logical, to expect that long-term chronics may need to dose more frequently. Stavi has been painfree for six months now, Graham and Q for about three months, if I recall correctly, and only four days so far for yourself.

My advice would be to keep a backup supply readily available, in a case a second, slightly larger dose is required in a few days to clean up the last lingering traces. As I recall, both Q and Graham started with very small doses and had to re-dose a week later with slightly larger doses in order to "put the boots" to the beast.

Even if this first dose knocked out the pain completely for now, don't count on it lasting a full year. As an episodic, I always carry an Imitrex pill with me, even when not in cycle, just in case. I believe that you should keep some mushrooms handy, just in case. Same principle.

Congratulations on your success, and thanks so much for providing us with more data. Every little bit helps. Thanks as well for offering to help out a bit with providing info for others. I get a HUGE thrill out of helping people with this... it is my way of giving back to the clusterhead community... but I must admit that lately I have been getting so many private e-mails that I have not always been able to get back to people as quickly as I want to, with my usual exhaustive level of detail.

For those awaiting replies, be assured that I will get back to you as soon as I can... I am not ignoring you... but I have to head into work for another twelve hours right now. Sigh. No rest for the wicked!
