Most of the headache medications I have taken over the years all had one common side effect - weight gain!! And boy did I gain -- 60-80 pounds.
Since I have stopped using any preventative meds and only use abbortives for the most severe attacks, I have actually lost weight. Over the last 6 months I have lost almost 48 pounds. I had to get all new clothes and trashed all my fat clothes. I feel better, I'm told I look better and people who haven't seen me in awhile don't recognize me until I speak.
