I'm from the mid-west so can't help you out with a Dr. in your location. Just post a message with a subject title of "need a Dr." and then list your area. I'm sure someone will reply with what you need.
If nothing shows on the C-scan, find a "good" neuro and he should let you know about the MRI and what meds George should have. Check back with the board and you'll get some opinions about the drugs prescribed
and take it from there. The reason being is that with the drugs available for CH, different people need different ones and/or different amounts of the ones prescribed. The most common I see at this time are
Verapamil and Oxygen. The Oxygen has to be used in a certain way. Other people on the board are better at explaining this than I am. Just ask and you'll get the answer. You have probably read some of this
on the board already. Don't be afraid to ask the Dr. about anything you've heard and that he doesn't mention. Sometimes it is a try and see schedule to see what works as some drugs take awhile to do their job.
Things are going to work out for you and George, Terry. Just take it one day at a time and use this board for the support and info you will need. All you have to do is ask. You are already ahead of the game by
being here. It wasn't quite as easy for us long time sufferers fo 30+ years. It took me half of that time to get a correct diagnosis. And that involved a hell of a lot of pain. My prayers are with you both,
no matter what things show. Not knowing is scarey enough. Be strong and lean on the board. We are living proof the beast can't win!
Wishing you both PFN&D-
