I am 41. I know what you are saying I have similar symptoms with pain in my nose especially when I breath in, the pain jumps 2 or 3 notches and radiates through my eye and past my ear and down my neck. It is hard trying not to breath in I can tell you. Just have to grin and bear it and try and laugh. Laughter is still the best medicine.
