Yes, it sucks, it BITES if this is a hoax. But you know what? I've just come from a funeral and at the reception, the conversation turned to headaches. Well...as I climbed up on my soapbox, and explained what I know about clusterheadaces, i was able to cite Liberty's story. There were some pretty amazed faces there. First of all that there even IS a headache that could cause someone to think of suicide. Next, that there is no cure. Next, that maybe there is a treatment out there (albeit illegal) but that maybe, just maybe if enough people find success with it someday, it might become legal.
Know what, gang? I got the word out today. And I'm proud of that. Yes, I was duped into believing the story yesterday and I cried when I read the beautifully sculpted words. But it caused me to talk about it. To talk about clusterheadaches to folks I normally wouldn't.
I wonder if yesterday some folks DID contact media. Do you think that maybe the byproduct of this "hoax" (if it is a hoax) could have cause some much needed attention for CH?
I dunno....just my take on the whole schmoz.
Here's a pearl...before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. The neat thing about that is if upsets anyone, you'll be a mile away and you have their shoes. ;)
