My husband is a long time sufferer too. I know how hard it is to watch this torture and feel totally helpless to do anything to stop it.
Please know that you are not alone and there are lots of folks here who've walked the same trail you're on.
Read as much as you can, learn everything, talk to others, just pull up a chair and get in on the discussions that go on here.
