I have been on pred now for 5 months and am beginning to taper off. I am swelled ALL OVER. not just the face. it is worse at night. I took it over 15 years ago and it did the same trhing. i take it for colitis. I have begun to walk everyday to help with the weight gain. I have gained 30 pounds and still gaining. I hope to loose it all when I come off. Does anyone know if the wieght is from water retention, swelling or what?? and how to best stop it. It is going to take 2-3 more months to get me off. By then I'll be as big as a house!!!!
