At the start of the cycle Lee is now in, he had a major allergy attack which lasted all day...non-stop sneezing, runny nose and eyes, etc. He does suffer from allergies and asthma anyway. He had been having some headaches prior to this, but not the severe CH. He really thought he was having sinus problems until the classic clusters started. He had been in remission for almost four years prior to this. We really don't know how long Lee has had CHs--probably longer than we thought--because when he was younger, doctors were diagnosing them as sinus headaches! He wasn't actually diagnosed until his cycle four years ago when he was in his late forties.

We can relate to your feeling of waiting for the axe to fall. The not knowing when or where they are going to happen is SO hard, I know. Lee has been taking verapamil for the past few weeks and it is really helping so far to prevent those severe attacks. He's also taking imitrex when he does get an attack--also works well. Hope you will find something to work for you. Joy
