I am a 12 year veteran of CH's. About 5 years ago after trying everything I could, I went to an accupunturist recommended by a friend. After about 5 treatments (can't remember exactly) my headaches suddenly went away!. Before they disappeared my headaches changed from the good old normal,always the left side, oh God please make this go away, o.k., make me go away, I'm going to beat my head into a wall if my eye ever stops tearing so I can find a wall, to what I guess is a migrane. Feels like a bowl over head, light hurts, noise annoying, etc.In fact, so minor in comparison that it's just a nuisance. Then suddenly go to sleep at night and not wake up with demons, in fact wake up saying wow an I really awake without pain? Then gone for 5 YEARS. About a month ago I woke up in full agony and they were back.
This time, I was "on-line" found this site, learned about o2, something no neuro had given me before and off I went to the new Neuro. O2, Indocin, Cafergot and visits everynight from the demons. Then I started to get them in the day... Then random timing. My new friend O2, helped (posted here..Demons) and told to increase flow, I did, it helped, but headaches got more frequent and more intense. Last Friday, after a terrible Thursday night battle, I called the same Accupunturist that I went to 5 years ago. Treatment Friday, Friday night, bad cluster, treatment Saturday, Saturday night really bad cluster, Sunday headache changed to Migrane, took nap Sunday afternoon and woke up this morning pain free. I never make it thru a night normally. Treatment today at 3:30. Can't wait. Maybe I'm too optimistic but I've got a feeling that they're going away!
This accupunturist is Chinese, has limited use of English, but really seems to know what CH's are all about. I will post in a few days with results.
