I read your post and I feel for you. I found this site a little over a year ago and these people helped me over a really bad cycle of CH. Unfortunately, I lost access to the web for awhile, but now I'm back and thanx to the support and shared knowledge and under standing of everyone, I'm gonna make it through yet another cycle of hell. The 2 1/2wk ha sounds alot like the migraines I used to get ,but the new ones sound like CH. I have insomnia also and get woken up alot during a cycle. If you haven't been to a Dr. I'd recommend it, no one should have to suffer needlessly.I hope you stick around ,I personally don't think I would have made it w/o this site.
