First of all, are you on any preventives? Because
the propranolol and indomethacin, I believe, are
preventives that can work for some people. I don't
think, however, that they're considered the first line of preventives. But as far as a good abortive, to take as an instant reliever, have you tried oxygen (8 l flow through a face mask?). Also, Imitrex (in injection form for fastest relief) can be a lifesaver. You can also take the nasal spray (20 mg), which is a bit slower, or the tablet form, which is slower still.
