I guess what I'm trying to explain for my own attempts of dealing with the pain is I imagine myself "running ahead" of the pain...almost as if I'm running through the mountains with the pain running behind me. I get hit with the "jolts and stabs" of the ice picks, but I'm trying to immediately recover and not panic - and that's the hardest part for me because I never know when the next stab will hit me or how long they are going to last.

I understand what you're talking about with facing the pain and examining it...and I do think that would help more if my headaches were more of a "constant" kind..not the unexpected jabs that I get. I do wish you luck though - I'm for anything that we'll help any of us! Good day to you.
