You specified that this weight gain was over a 1 month period. I'm willing to bet no doctor in the world would ever attribute such a massive weight gain to a one month usage of prednisone.
I am aware of the long-term side effects. This is of course why Pred. is never the long term answer for us CH'rs. Pred, along w/ most hormone-steroid type drugs is extremely damaging to basically every system in your entire body in one way or another, when applied on a long-term basis.
