There is also a migraine drug that came out in August called Maxalt. They make two forms of it. One is a pill form, the other is an orally dissolving wafer. The wafers are supposed to be quicker to get in the bloodstream. I take them when I don't want to battle with the CH. For me they are more effective than Imitrex tablets or nasal spray. I never used the Imitrex injections. The Maxalt usually takes about 15 minutes to work. It's best to take it as soon as you feel the headache starting. If you're interested ask your doc for Maxalt MLT 10mg orally dissolving tablets. You have to specify this or the pharmacy won't fill it correctly. It's also expensive at about $80 for six.
