I had used cold/sinus meds for CH before I knew what a CH was. I thought they were sinus problems, initially, as did my first MD. Some cold/allergy meds do trigger my CH's. For a number of years I was able to stay away from cold meds because of the alleged trigger. I'm not saying this accounted for 2 years pain free. Only when I forgot about the association did take an alka seltzer plus, and presto! My current cycle began. One ingredient in particular that I've been interested is phenylpropanolamine. Lately, it's gotten some bad press, and all the OTC medications that seemed to trigger my cycle contained this stuff. On the other hand, it has on occaision aborted an attack on me. Kinda' like an alcoholic taking a drink to stop the DT's. It'll get rid of them, but they'll be back, often with a vengeance.
