Of all the meds I’ve used to combat this beast, not ONE has been developed specifically for CH. While there may be very few of us, there are lots of $$$ to be had. Just in my case alone, I’ve pumped nearly 4000 dollars (maybe even more) into the medical industry, since November. Okay, not all of it has been for medication, but of that 4000, I’d wager that 15 – 20% of that was for medication. My out of pocket cost is around 8 – 900 dollars for everything, not just the meds. My insurance premiums for these 3 months are around $600 for my policy, and my wife has a family policy that has cost her employer around $1500 for these three months. So, of that, 4000, we’ve been responsible for 3000 and a large portion of the remaining balance has gone toward my deductible. And my head still hurts. No wonder so many Clusterheads suffer from depression, as well.
