Betty, you state that you can't be on any type of pain medication as you need to stay alert working with small children. You also state you are taking pain pills, I can tell you this, The effect of imitrex wears off in 5-10 minutes (and luckily for me so does the ch, after the injection)although I am sure there are still some traces of this drug in your body for awhile afterwards it has not affected my ability to drive or do any other task which requires attention. Pain pill effects on the other hand can last for hours leaving the user "dopey". I recommend giving the imitrex a shot (pun intended) Good luck to you. PFDAN (Just figured out what that means and I wish it to all who visit this board and suffer from CH)
