That is so young to know such pain. You will find quite a few different answers to your queston on this board. Do you have a good nuro? All I know is my son is adhd and before I put him on any meds, I read and asked as many questons as I could. Then you need to make up your mind and know it's right for your son. My son is on meds and does well on them. But some people concider me a bad mother for making that choice. You have to do what you think is right for your son. Lots of people have been helped by topamax. I hated it. It made my CH WORSE. And the nuro said I wasn't the only patient it did that to. Everyone is different. I'm sorry you have to make such hard choices for your son. And I am so sorry he has to have these terrible CH's. I hope he gets relief soon. Love Paula
