I know what you are going through. My husband suffers with CH and he is
starting his 7th week of the cycle. The best thing that I found to do is
keep the house quite, dark, and cool. Don't try to say anything to her in
the middle of the CH, don't try to hold her or touch her. When she is done
then you can hold her! Just make sure she gets the medical attention she needs,
even if it means taking time off work to get her to the doctor. I have taken
off plenty of times because you never know when they are going to hit. Jeff is
very light sensitive and sound. He tells me that any noise is magnified, light
is painful. Hand in there, together the two of you will make it through this.
I know first hand how tough it can be at times, but as long as she knows that you
are there for her it will work. Don't give up--just give her room when the demon
hits. Believe me, I know its hard, but if you have to -- go to another room while
she is having one. We have made it through 10 years together and we have 2 kids!
Just remember they will end in time!!! Have her come to this web site and post her
anger, everyone here is terrific and it has helped myself and my husband, They are
a big family here and they want to help. Sometimes just talking to other people that
suffer with CH can help-we are proof!
