As with any med, you have to be carefull about how you take it and when you take it.

Being a chronic CH'er, I have these things in different pain levels every day. Some days the're minor (yea, right!) and I can get through by O2, guts, and determination. Other days (such as this last Monday) they knock me down screaming for hours at a time.

Even at my worst times, I'm carefull about how and when I take the meds, even when I know that the Imitrex will knock it out within minutes.

Read the sheet that comes with the Imitrex. You'll find that Imitrex can effect your respiration and the heart, along with overall blood flow.

Anything, food, meds, etc. can have negitive effects on you if you use too much of them. As an example, several years ago I was having a multiple day attack, and ran out of every med. I had. I substituted asprin, taking so much that I caused myself tempoary deafness (tintinitus). It took 3 days to regain my hearing.

Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. I know it's painfull, I know it's agony. If your having that much trouble, talk to your Dr. and see if there's something else he can give you to help you through these times.

Just be carefull with the meds. Believe it or not, even O2 can kill you!

Be pain free!

Verne
