I was my doctor's guinea pig. He was clueless about CH at first... but since I have wonderful HMO insurance, I was basically stuck with him. I was finally able to convince him I know what I am talking about... printed out all kinds of CH articles and information for him... and told him what meds to prescribe. It took a long time (I've had the same doctor 17 years now)... but at least now he knows what CH is and how to treat it.
I can't really find fault with his initial course of treatments... I am a degreed electrical engineer and sometimes I guess at things or fake it if I don't know the answer... and hope nobody finds out... I think we all do that if we're honest with ourselves. (But find another doctor if you try to educate him and he still doesn't get it about CH).
