We believe Lee was misdiagnosed years ago as having sinus headaches. Finally, a PA at our primary md's office diagnosed the CH for the first time four years ago. Hopefully, your husband is nearing the end of his cycle. As far as the meds, Lee went through the course of Prednisone, but once he tapered off, had some severe headaches. However, at the time he was not taking the verapamil. He has been on verapamil for about a month and it has worked well so far, becoming more effective with time. He has also used imitrex for attacks with great results. He's now been almost a week without an attack. I know everyone is different--I hope your husband finds something that will work for him.
