Welcome to the world of Clusters. The best advice I can give you is that when she has a HA - get away from her. Be there when the pain is gone, but leave her alone when one is going on.
That sounds funny, but most of us don't want anyone helping while we're suffering (unless of course they can cut our heads off).
When they subside, we're too tired to care about anything and really can't talk about them because we can't describe them and think we're all alone.
Just let her know you're there and I wish you all the luck in the world.
