If not, hold some ice packs, or frozen peas, or something from the freezer in the hand that's the same side as the pain. While you have the freezer open, stick your face inside and breathe in the really cold air. Or, if it's freezing out where you live, go outside and let your body cool off.
That's only if cold helps you. If heat is better for you take a very hot shower during the attack.

Also, try brewing up some tea of 1/2 sage and 1/2 rosemary. Have it prepared in advance. That would sometimes knock out an attack, or at least dimish it for me. Although it hasn't had as much success for me for a while now.
