I've tried it and it BURNS but it does help. Since my surgery, I've been using it on the numb side of my face and that's the ONE thing I can feel. It helps the "discomfort" a lot. Have an ear infection right now and have been rubbing it behind my ear.
Just be CAREFUL and DON'T use too much at a time. It can burn your skin.
