You state that because he resides in South Africa he harbors resentment for human life. You further state that "we" were like that 150 years ago, implying of course that we longer are. Let me refresh your memory.

Please tell me how any reasonable person would fail to interpret this statement as being racist. The definition of racism is ascribing characteristics to an individual based on that individual's heritage.
Individuals are individuals, Ted. Not everyone in America in the pre-Civil War days believed that slavery was moral. Not everyone in America today believes that blacks are equal to whites. Not every South African believed blacks to be inferior, even in the days when apartheid was the official government policy.
To state that Daniel harbors resentment for human life simply because he lives in South Africa is a racist statement.
