The kind of side effects you are referring to are normally reported by those doing substantially higher doses than what most clusterheads have been using.
There is a threshold at which the experience transforms from a "buzz" to an otherworldly, often paradigm-shattering spiritual voyage. Those who have experienced such an event are unlikely to remain completely unchanged by it.
I am as interested as you are in seeing if the very low sub-hallucinogenic doses being used here will also produce such changes, but I'm not holding my breath.
