first.... tell me that ya got a non-rebreather mask that anyone who has bin around this site as long as you have should know.
2...given that...suck with whatever orifice/or both that can get the most O2 (clearin the bag) into yer lungs as possible. HIGH concentrations are the key.
3... I recommend a humidifier to protect my mucus membranes as well as purify any trash in the gas.
4...When I started with those useless cannule thingys....I used to get a burning sensation in my nose...not only was the concentration too weak to hit home...but the discomfort on top of an icepick in my eye made me put the tank away....till I paid attention to the big guys here who told me how to do it. I'll never forget the first time a CH was aborted in 5....5...minutes!
5...I do situps...jumpin jacks...run in place...with the mask on to increase the "goody"....my son laughs his ass off at me. I'm usually nude and the....uh....nevermind
6...What was the question?...oh yea...I usuallly suck thru my mouth.
