Hi Leigh!
I have been a teacher for 14 years. My cycle always started in June and ended in August. This was lucky as far as work went, but it made me hate the summer. The last cycle started March 22 and ended May 29. I managed to get through work for 7 weeks because most of my attacks came at night. But I was so exhausted and scared of having attacks during the day that I lost fifteen pounds and became depressed. I ended up taking one week off( the last week). I decided that if I have a cycle this year,I am going to take a sick leave. This may help me to deal with the pain and perhaps take care of myself enough to shorten the cycle. Right now I seem to be fine, but I have been experiencing the depression, short-temper, and mild pain that always comes before a cycle. Hopefully it will disappear. Best of luck and remember: You do have sick days... use them to take care of yourself first.
Jackie
