Although I respect your message about only MEMBERS being here, this site has NEVER been about the money.... and it NEVER will (if any of you haven't noticed, I'm removing all of the banner's from the site. $1 a day isn't worth all of the complaints about the banners.)
I don't think most of the people favor a membership site where only people who pay for a membership are welcome, rather, they they are pushing for people who suffer from cluster headaches to help us help ourselves! Lord knows, the drug company's and doctor's aren't going to help us out!
I'm NOT trying to stick up for some of the rather rude posts that have been on this board lately, but I can certainly understand where they're coming from. For a true cluster sufferer that has been here from some time, some of the posts can be aggrivating at times.
The bottom line is this.... It seems no one out there is going to help us as a group of sufferers, other than ourselves. Most of the people who are pushing OUCH are people who were at the convention last year in Las Vegas, and for GOOD REASON! If you have never been around 30 (or more) cluster headache sufferers at one time, you can't possibly imagine what the experience was like! OUCH made that possible last year, and will make possible again THIS year!
OUCH may not make a difference today, tomorrow, or the next day, but someday...... sometime...... somehow...... hopefully...... OUCH will make a difference in the lives of cluster headache sufferers. If nothing else, OUCH let more than 30 of us who had NEVER met anyone else that suffers from the same pain join together in Las Vegas last August. Hopefully, thanks to OUCH, I will meet THOUSANDS more of you in the years to come!
Is $25 a year worth that vision for me????? HELL YES!
I spend 4 times that much for ONE Imitrex kit!
And just so it's known.... I don't get a PENNY from OUCH memberships and the $ earned from the banners (while they were on this site). The banners haven't even paid a portion of the money that has been paid out of my pocket to keep this site up for the past 3 years! Don't bitch about who owes who what, FIND US A CURE so we don't have to hurt anymore!
